Hello. Instead of stalking you, I decided to say hi. So... "Hai..." :D I was reading 525,600 Minutes - I really really really like that story, btw - and found myself curious about the author so I decided to jump into your lj here and found your con report. I have to say I admire your restraint in not spilling all the details. Some people are like, "OMG! I know this, this, and this!"
Gosh! Not being able to let your inner fangirl loose... sounds like the time Dwayne Johnson came through my attraction at Walt Disney World. Had to just smile and put them on with out turning into mush. Not easy so I applaud you.
Your weekend sounds fabulous and, honestly, I'm jealous. I don't have the money to go to cons like that anymore. Although the running around you did sounds so familiar to me because I did a lot of that during the Star Trek cons I went to in my youth. The Star Trek fanclub I was a member of ran the hospitality suite and I was the lunch/drink/aspirin/whatever-you-need go-to girl. Awesome that you jumped in to help! I'm sure everyone appreciated it more than you know.
It sounds interesting that you got to do art for the con. How did you come by that? I must admit I'm thinking "I would if I could" so I just wanna know how one gets that. But all in all your time there sounds fantastic!
I read the bigger report too. Loved the pics and I have to say Malik is evil! Pushing you into Jared like that! ;) And Misha sleeping on your suitcase sounds adorable. Also the Twitter bit... I can SO picture a bus full of people groaning when he brought it up. He's an avid twitterer at times and funny as hell! I'd recommend signing up for Twitter if for no other reason than to read his "twits".
I shall bring my rant to a close. Hope I haven't creeped you too much. ;) I just really did enjoy reading all of that because it reminded me of "The Good Ol' Days" but with a fandom I'm actually quite new to. I imagine the fans for SPN are considerably more... um... avid than Star Trek fans. They sound scary.
You also keep telling everyone that you're not that interesting normally but I beg to differ. The way you use words and tell a story is entertaining and, in a way, tells me that you're more interesting than you think.
