So...when i mentioned back in february that I couldn't wait until warmer weather...
this isn't what i meant.
not by a long shot. yikes.

rudelad737 and I about DIED on saturday when we went on our weekly hike to Manassas battlefield. i went to a bbq that evening and was ready to pass out by six, i was that exhausted from marching through the scorching three digit heat. ugh. thankgawd for sunscreen x.x

AMA is this weekend. not overly excited, but not hating the idea, so we'll work with what comes X)

we had James' birthday this past weekend with a trick my mother came up with to try and get David to have a birthday too. i was reeeeally hesitant and unsure of just how he was going to react to that, but in the end, once faced with gifts and smiling, guilty faces, he gave in :3 which made me so gloriously happy. So the weekend was well spent with good company and family and fun was had by all. An immense relief from the tension that had been building between us. It was nice to see my mother happy ^.^

i was given an LJ virtual gift! :O zomg! never had one of those before :D NEAT.

Been doodling LOTS. lol. so i figured i may as artdump as i'm being yelled at for only posting in lj communities that none of my f-list are in, lol. SORRY. most of it is supernatural fanart, so as a warning, some of the jokes may not make sense. thus warned.
not dialup friendly. ;) when i say ARTDUMP, i mean it this time.


first pic I did of the Winchester brothers :3 i have this colored, but my scanner ate it to bits XP will get around to rescanning later.

a couple of doodles getting into the groove of drawing Sam. who is so much easier for me to draw then Dean for some reason. i luffs this boy's hair ^.^

I pulled out my colored pencils! ^___^ for the hell of it, lol. and was reminded why i both loved and stopped using them, haha. oh well X) it was fun for what it's worth drawing both brothers for the first time in non-chibi style.

I'm gonna be nice and just stick in links to the two comics since they're pretty long and may earn me an lj asplode otherwise. I'm actually proud of myself for doing a comic to begin with, let alone FINISH THEM. lol.

so anyway, the first makes fun of Dean Winchester's obsession with his car and the strange affinity he has for getting shot in the same shoulder.
Priorities
the second comic was actually inspired from watching the series with ubermorte who is a big fan of the Hellraiser movies and we were joking about what would happen if the boys were faced with a cenobite. yikes. still, much fun to draw X) even if some might not get it, lol.
The Box
have more ideas to play with in chibi form. happy to have inspiration i can definately say.

Finally, something inspired from the season three finale that aired a few weeks ago and bit my muse so damn hard that she wouldn't let me sleep x.x thus, i drew, inked and colored this with much love (and little sleep). especially since my copics demanded retribution at being overlooked for colored pencils. damn vengeful things...



art aside, things are normal. i'm doing well, if not a little overworked and overtired. one of the shelves in my room collapsed this morning and made a monstrosity of a mess out of a now 'rest in pieces' ceramic plate x.x but most everything else made it out intact. including the dolfie i had sitting on the edge of it *breathes*
crisis happily averted.

i just got the 'tin man' series in the mail from netflix today, so methinks some drawing/watching is in order for me this evening X) so not complaining.

They are all absolutely beautiful - but the last one leaves me speechless...

Wow. Gorgeous little Dean holding Baby Sam just makes my heart melt, they look so bewildered, poor little things. And then the two of them as boys crouching together, Sam with his pretty pretty eyes.

The one with Dean sitting in the Impala grinning - perfect shot of them. The poses, Dean's cheeky grin. And I adore the poses in the action scene as well, Dean being all protective and Sam's stance behind him.

And the central one of course. Sexy super Sam all shirtless and serious and tattooed, going after Dean into hell itself.

Whew, this is just BRILLIANT!

The chibis are so cute. Sam's eyes make me wibble.

The colored pencil piece beneath it is beautiful. I love the colors an the luminous quality it has.

The one based on the finale blew me away. I saw it on deviant art awhile ago and went "Wow!" I love how you broke up each scene so that it's not traditional angles. Dean and the Impala is my favorite. I love seeing Dean happy with his Baby (and Sam too LOL) I like that they look so relaxed and happy.

my friend actually has the original mockup of that box (i have no clue how he got it) but it didn't bring any cenobites. Makes a good paper weight though. :D

Beautiful artwork too, the colors you used for the pencil drawings are just superb.

and I loved the fact that Sam seems to be climbing holding onto to the real world and his memories as he goes to find Dean in hell.

Sam is hair and eyes and lean muscle and length.

Dean's avatar is one of the closest humans ALIVE to a chibi. There's so much to pick from, why bother?

But the talent in you is something glorious!

Thank you for sharing it -- I don't care what your level of work proficiency is, you can't make something like these beauties without understanding your subject on the truest level.

Yeah, the fandom's kinda scary at times, but I think more than a few of the best ones are, the ones that inspire the greatest thinky-thoughts and the most loving fanart and the fic that makes ya come back to it over and over and over again.

Thank you for making stuff with which I'll be doing just that. So saving to favorites (and memory as soon as I can figure out how to get that to, uh, WORK...)
