I get the weather/pressure related migraines...along with food triggers, menstrual triggers, allergy triggers, stress triggers, change in routine triggers etc.
Are you on any medications? Since I was getting 4-8 a month and some of the triggers aren't things I can control, my dr put me on a Verapamil and it's made a huge difference.

I've never actually taken medication for the migraines -because- of their frequency. i think i get one to two a month, depending on the circumstance. stress can up that, as can allergies and now i just added weather to the mix apparently XP

so far, i've stuck with excedrin migraine, tension headache meds or just basic tylenol, but i was pretty much on a constant stream of tylenol yesterday with no such relief.
i may finally have to ask the doc about it, but it just feels like one more thing i'm chemically imbalanced with :( hence the denial.

I've switched to regular ibuprofen for my migraines...your system can handle more of it than it can of tylenol - which is also in the excedrin! I have Vicodin on hand for when I get a really bad one (still about once a month), and since that also has tylenol in it, Ibuprofen is the safest thing to take along with it.

Migraines suck. I was in that denial mode for a long time. I still have a hard time taking a Vicodin when I get one. I feel almost guilty for not being able to just suck it up and deal with the pain, and I usually wait until it's become unbearable. :/

i resorted to half a vicodin just to sleep last night, yeah :( not happy about it, but meh. better day is better.

but i agree. i have a hard time convincing myself that its more than simply something i can just tolerate and work through. its just hard to do much otherwise, though, when the smallest bit of light or sound makes it impossible to function.
